Personal eventsNo fixed schedule7 days longNot open on every kingdom.
A seven-day tournament of battles against other players' armies, ranked within your division.
How it runs
Every battle is fought in the Colosseum, with troops the Colosseum supplies, so it costs nothing: no casualties to heal, no broken equipment, and nothing leaves your City.
Your division
Your division is set by the highest troop level among your Guardsmen, Specialists and Monsters, and it stays the same until the tournament ends.
Battles
A battle is two rounds between the same armies. The attacker strikes first in the first round, the defender in the second. Win both and the battle is yours; win one each, and it goes to whoever kept the larger share of their troops.
The Colosseum brings the troops back after every round.
Which bonuses count
Permanent bonuses count: Captains, Artifacts, equipment, enchantments and gems, your Dragon, the Hall of Fame, Monuments, personal technologies and Talents.
Temporary ones do not: Speedups, titles, Clan bonuses, Kingdom bonuses and Hero bonuses.
Two squads
The tournament keeps two squads for you. The defense squad stands in for you whenever someone challenges you, offline included. The attack squad only goes out when you challenge someone.
Each takes up to five Captains, your Dragon, and troops within your Leadership and Dominance. Any unit up to your highest troop level counts, except scouts, siege units and mercenaries.
Artifacts and equipment are one setup shared by both squads: what your Captains wear to attack, they also wear to defend. It is separate from your City, and changing it here changes nothing there.
Challenges
The Challenge window lists opponents with their Army Power. Pick one, build your attack squad, and fight.
Attacks and refreshes of the list are both limited per day.
Colosseum Points
Everyone starts with the same number. A win adds points and a loss takes them away, and that includes losing as the defender while you are offline.
The further your opponent is from you in the ranking, the more points change hands.
Ranking
Every day, at the reset, your place in the ranking pays Colosseum Coins, in tiers.
When the tournament ends, the final ranking pays once more, every tournament. Ties go to whoever reached the score first, and it takes at least one battle to earn anything.
The two titles carry bonuses that depend on your division. In division IX, Rudiarius gives 200 % army strength and 200 % army health against other players and a 25 % Conquest Points bonus; Secutor gives 100 %, 100 % and 25 %.
